Wh, or Watt hours - a parameter that determines the capacity of the battery

When entering the world of electric vehicles, it is worth paying attention to several important issues.

The most important component of any small electric vehicle, be it a scooter or an electric bike, is its battery.

A good battery is characterized by low internal resistance, high capacity and long life.

In this post we pay attention to the second parameter, that is battery capacity .

Many sellers on the Internet only provide capacity expressed in Ah, or Ampere-hours. Such a parameter is of course important, but by itself it tells us nothing if we do not know the voltage of the battery. Well, the same amount of Ah (eg 10Ah) may produce a smaller amount of Wh with a different battery voltage.

I think you already know where we are going. If we give the capacity of the battery in Ah, we must also give the voltage.

But how exactly does this work? Well, very simple. Amount Wh = Amount Ah x Voltage
that is multiplying Ah by the voltage expressed in V (Volts) , we get the result in Wh .

Example

36V x 10Ah = 360Wh

48V x 10Ah = 480Wh

60V x 10Ah = 600Wh

In short - the more Wh the further we get!
